Welcome to my Watercolors
My journey with painting began in my teens, spending Saturday mornings in front of the TV, brush in hand, painting along with Bob Ross. Those early moments—quiet, patient, and full of possibility—sparked a lifelong love for creating art that feels alive with mood, light, and emotion.
In my watercolor work, I explore the beauty of landscapes, cityscapes, and everyday scenes through shifting light, softened edges, and expressive color. Rather than simply matching what I see, I reinterpret it—letting pigments flow, blend, and transform to capture the atmosphere of a place rather than its exact details.
Traveling and observing the world from different cultural and emotional angles continues to shape my work. I use a wide dynamic range of light to bring out the quiet drama in ordinary scenes—moving from deep shadows to luminous highlights in a way that reflects the rhythm of real life. As Bob Ross always said, “You can’t have the light without the dark,” and that simple truth continues to guide my work today.
