Moulin Rouge Cabaret

The inspiration for the watercolor came while having lunch across the street from the Moulin Rouge with friends. The red windmill cut sharply against the bright Paris afternoon, the street full of motion and color. That mix of bold architecture, everyday bustle, and the unmistakable energy of the neighborhood made me want to capture the scene in watercolor.
